It was grinding every so often when I would start it, and was becoming more frequent. So, I figured it was time to replace the flywheel. My clutch didn't really slip on me unless I dragged the car (like in Bakersfield). When we got the clutch and flywheel out, the flywheel had heat cracks all over the place (I took pictures) and the clutch was down to the rivets. The starter was checked and appeared fine. Everything at that point was popped back together. I tried to start it a few times and it made that grinding noise again. So I went with a used starter, works great now. The 13 lb. flywheel is definitely noticeable, and looks cool too.
